The house is layered to separate the public and private programs in section. On the ground floor is a large, covered car porch which leads to the living, dining, and kitchen spaces, and other functions that accommodate visitors. On the upper floor are the bedrooms, which open to a terrace garden situated above the car porch. A series of elliptical cutouts accommodates existing trees but also brings light to the lower floors.
