Cappella Da Nossa Senhora Do Monte

This is a 16th Century Portuguese church which was measure drawn, mapped, structurally consolidated and restored. The laterite vault had developed a crack across the length due to movement of the foundations. The foundations were underpinned and the vault consolidated in situ. All works were carried out using appropriately designed lime grouts and mortars after extensive laboratory studies. The works also included restoration of other architectural details.
